(Ruffin, N.C.) — A 35-year-old Ruffin woman was arrested this week on two counts of child abuse. The charges were filed Tuesday against Teri Nicole Zedd, of 2255 Estes Road in Ruffin.

Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault on a child under 12 and Zedd was taken into custody after Detective Kelly Hacker obtained the charges against her.

Zedd was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 20.

The sheriff’s office does not identify juvenile victims.
