(Danville, VA) – Earlier this week, Danville City Council held a first reading for two grants aimed at helping projects at the airport. A GO Virginia grant award of $92k was approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development to finance the full cost to install data network installation requirements for the aviation training facility building and hangar project that is currently under construction at the airport.

Also City Council will vote on a Budget Appropriation Ordinance to Provide for Additional Federal Funding to Complete Architectural and Civil Engineering Services to Construct a Hangar at the Danville Regional Airport. The federal funding is $62,871 and includes a Local Share of $3,309 for a Total of $66,180 and Appropriating the Same.
