Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred on Thursday (May 14) at 4:54 pm on Route 750, one mile north of Callands Road in Pittsylvania County.

A 2002 GMC was traveling north when the vehicle lost control and overturned. The driver was identified as 57-year-old John Henry Sasser, Jr., of Pittsylvania, Va. Sasser was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation
