The Reidsville Police Department is still looking for a man that’s wanted for a double homicide that happened nearly a year ago. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of Dexter Lamar Scales Sr.

Scales is wanted for the homicides of Shanika Penn and Samuel Brooks that occurred on June 12, 2025.

Investigators have released photos of Dexter Scales and his tattoos in an effort to aid the public in identifying him. Investigators also say Mr. Scales was last seen walking with a limp. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement immediately at 336-347-2346.
