A missing person was safely located in Halifax County on Saturday. According to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, at 2:31 pm deputies responded to a report of a missing 21-year-old autistic male who had wandered from his residence in the Omega / Midway area.

The track began in a wooded area and led into a nearby powerline corridor, where K-9 Phoebe showed strong indications of odor and assisted deputies in locating the male subject. He was safely located at approximately 4:13 pm.
