A member of the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors pleaded not guilty to a shoplifting charge on Tuesday. Staunton River District Supervisor Tim Dudley pleaded not guilty with a stipulation on Tuesday.
The stipulation means he agreed with the evidence in the case, however other circumstances were considered.
Dudley was ordered to pay restitution and complete a shoplifting class. He has also been placed under a 12-month advisement period.
Dudley was seen on video taking Kratom from an Altavista Convenience store in November. Dudley said after the court session that he’ll make a full comment on the incident at a later date.
