The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a Winter Storm Watch for our region from 1 pm Friday to 1 pm on Sunday. Heavy snow is possible with 4 to 8 inches of accumulation possible.

Travel could become very difficult during Friday and the upcoming weekend due to the snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

Gusty winds during Saturday night into Sunday may cause blowing and drifting snow, which could cause poor visibility.
