Authorities are looking for a suspect in a shooting in Patrick County. On Saturday, January 24th, the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Stuart Community Hospital about a patient who had arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound.

Deputies responded to the ER and interviewed the male victim and learned that he had allegedly been shot at a vacant lot on Salem Highway, just south of Stuart. Deputies then responded to that location, secured the crime scene, and collected evidence.

Deputies learned that the victim had pre-planned a meeting at the location on Salem Highway with Michael Cody Solomon, 29, of 141 Navy Lane in Martinsville. Solomon arrived first at the scene, in a black SUV.

The victim, identified as Allen Michael Bowman, 27, of Stuart, arrived shortly thereafter. The sheriff stated that during this meeting, several rounds were fired at Bowman, striking him once in the wrist. The suspect fled the scene and is believed to be in Henry County.
