Partial human remains were found in Pittsylvania County on Friday. According to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, just before 12 pm, a call came in from a landowner in the 1200 block of Climax Rd. saying that human remains had been found in a field.

Personnel responded and recovered the partial remains. At this time the remains have been sent to the Medical Examiners Office in Roanoke for examination and identification. The identity of the remains are unknown at this time.
