(Danville, Va.) —  As Hurricane Florence made landfall, God’s Pit Crew volunteers spent the day Friday loading the first tractor-trailers with relief supplies. More tractor trailer loads will be loaded as the storm progresses.

God’s Pit Crew Founder and President Randy Johnson said “this is going to be a long-term response.” The three tractor-trailer loads containing Blessing Buckets and disaster relief items left Danville Saturday morning.

The supplies will be delivered to some of the hardest hit areas in North and South Carolina this weekend.
