Average gas prices across Virginia are up by three cents this week compared to last week to $2.91 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country remained the same at $3.07 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by three cents to $2.76, while the average price in Pittsylvania County fell by four cents to $2.79 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is up by two pennies this week to $2.90 a gallon and in Henry County the average price climbed by eight cents this week at $2.86. Prices in Halifax County are up by six cents this week at $2.93 a gallon.
