
Incumbent Eric Phillips won reelection for the House of Delegates 48th District seat as he beat Mel Cartwright and Barbara Hancock with over 65% of the vote.
Trina McLaughlin was elected to a vacant Danville School Board seat over Gary Terry and Curtis Gore Jr. McLaughlin had over 60% of the vote.
Also in Danville, Michael Newman ran unopposed for Commonwealth’s Attorney, Mike Mondul ran unopposed for Sheriff, Jack Thomson III was unopposed for Commissioner of Revenue and Sheila Williamson-Branch ran unopposed for Treasurer.
Pittsylvania County
Robert Tucker won reelection for the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors Banister District seat beating Kathy Ramsey 54% to 45%. Justin Brown defeated Michael Saunders with over 70% of the vote for the Dan River District seat on the Board of Supervisors. Darrell Dalton ran unopposed in the Callands-Gretna district.
Willie Fitzgerald Jr. beat Sonya Womack-Miranda with nearly 70% of the vote for the Banister District seat on the Pittsylvania County School Board. In the Callands-Gretna District Calvin Doss ran unopposed and Kelly Merricks ran unopposed in the Dan River district.
