
Today the Danville Police Department held a press conference to announce the results of Operation Washout-“No Limits”. In total 96 fugitives were apprehended and 186 arrests were made as part of the operation that was conducted from October 27-31.
Some of the crimes include homicide, drug charges, malicious wounding and indecent liberties with a child.
The operation was a partnership with Danville Police, acting US Attorney Robert Tracci, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, DEA, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, Virginia National Guard, Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, and the US Marshals Service Western District of Virginia.
Over 55 grams of fentanyl were also seized, which is enough to kill over 27,600 people. Additionally 15 firearms were seized along with five pounds of ammunition, 28 grams of cocaine, 4.5 grams of methamphetamine and over $14,000 in US Currency.
A missing child was also recovered and four federal, multi-person, investigations were opened and ongoing.
Acting US Attorney Robert Tracci stated, “This operation demonstrates our shared commitment to targeting violent criminals, drug traffickers, transnational criminal organizations, and those who endanger our citizens and communities.”
