A long time BBQ restaurant in Danville will close its doors this week. The Checkered Pig announced on social media that it will close the Danville location after 16 years.

“Our last official day at our Danville location will be Sunday, November 2, 2025. It is our hope we will see you sometime in the next few days or at our Martinsville location thereafter. The gift certificates and catering that were purchased or planned for you through our Danville location will be honored and handled through our Martinsville location so you will not miss out of any of our delicious foods.”

The original location in Martinsville at 1014 Liberty St. will remain open.
