Recently recognized with United Way’s prestigious Fred Evans Award, Dean embodies dedicated public service, principled community leadership, and a deep commitment to advocacy, remembrance, and equity across Danville and Pittsylvania County.
Dean Hairston lends his passion and expertise to mentor local youth through personal scholarships and community programs, supports United Way’s mission through volunteerism and leadership, and plays a pivotal role in preserving African American burial grounds in the region. His leadership reflects a lifelong dedication to meaningful impact and public service.
