Average gas prices across Virginia increased by two cents this week compared to last week to $2.99 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country remained the same at $3.14 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by two pennies this week to $2.84, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is up by three cents to $2.93 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price climbed by six cents this week to $2.85 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by four cents to $2.85. Prices in Halifax County remained the same this week at $2.92 a gallon.
