(Pittsylvania County, VA) – Investigators with the Virginia State Police are looking into a crash that claimed the life of one individual on Saturday night.  Around 10:30 a 2020 Ford Explorer was traveling west on Route 790 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck the ditch and overturned.  The driver of the Explorer was ejected.

The driver has been identified as Jeremy Arthur Roberts, 45, of Chatham who was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
