The South Boston Police Department is currently investigating a video that has been posted or shared on Facebook on May 14, 2025. The video contained racial slurs, concerning behavior, and the presence of weapons.

The South Boston Police Department does not take this behavior lightly and is conducting a full investigation on the matter. Contact has been made with the author of the video in question, and it has been determined this is a repost from several years ago.

The department is in communication with the Commonwealth Attorney to ensure the citizens of South Boston are safe and there is no immediate threat. The investigation is still ongoing.
