The Danville Office of Economic Development & Tourism (DOEDT) announced the publication of their first ever Annual Impact Report to highlight key announcements and metrics from this past year.
The report showcases major events for the DOEDT, including coverage on the Microporous groundbreaking, Caesars Virginia’s grand opening, RBW Electric Cars’ announcement, and more. The report also highlights staff awards and recognitions, marketing initiatives, historic district revitalization efforts, tourism programming, and small business support coverage.
“As we reflect on the achievements of the past year and look ahead, 2024 has proven to be a transformative year for the city of Danville and the Southern Virginia region,” said DOEDT Director, Corrie Bobe. “This annual report celebrates not only our community’s growth but also the valuable partnerships, investments, and initiatives that are shaping our future. It is a moment to acknowledge the success of projects that are positioning our region for sustained prosperity while looking forward to an even brighter 2025.”
The annual report was published during National Economic Development Week, May 11-17, an annual celebration created by the International Economic Development Council to raise awareness of economic development and its impact on communities.
