(Danville, Va.) – One person was treated for minor burns following a Friday morning fire in Danville.

Firefighters were called to 150 Rocklawn Drive about 7:40 a.m. and found smoke coming from the front of the two-story house.

The fire was located in an upstairs bedroom and was knocked down within fifteen minutes. The home suffered fire and smoke damage in the bedroom and water damage downstairs.

All occupants were outside when firefighters arrived and one was treated for first-degree burns to the face and head. The patient was treated at the scene by the Danville Lifesaving Crew and then transported to SOVAH Health Danville.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
