Bond has been denied for a man that has been accused of shooting and killing a man at a Danville gas station. 21-year-old Jaelynn Lowen has been denied bond after he shot and killed 47-year-old Pinakin Patel after an interaction over an alleged theft at the Airport Mart Exxon on April 17.

Lowen was arrested on April 20th in Louisiana. Lowen has been charged with second degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He’ll be back in court next month for his preliminary hearing.

Another man was also arrested after he gave Lowen a ride to Burlington after the shooting. 21-year-old Keontae Tarpley was charged with accessory after the fact.
