Danville Community College welcomed a new crop of students as seniors from Danville Public Schools signed letters of intent to enroll in DCC’s Career and Technical Education programs in the fall of this year.

Students were recognized across a range of high-demand programs including welding, automotive technology, health sciences, cybersecurity, precision machining, HVAC, and more.

Dr. Cornelius Johnson, Interim President of DCC, opened the event with a message of encouragement and pride.  “CTE Signing Day is one of the most inspiring events we host,” said Dr. Johnson. “These students are making a conscious decision to pursue high-quality education and real-world training right here in our community. They’re not only investing in their future, they’re  investing in the future of our region.”

Dean of Career and Technical Education, Melissa Mann said of the Thursday’s ceremony, ““CTE Signing Day is a powerful reminder that our students are choosing to take control of their futures. We’re here to support them every step of the way—from the moment they sign to the moment they walk across the stage at graduation.”
