Danville Utilities crews are responding to additional outages in Pittsylvania County. As of 10 am, new outages have been reported in in the Brosville, Axton, and Laurel Grove areas have come in as the ice has started to melt and additional tree damage has been reported.

Currently a circuit on 58W in Brosville and Axton is out of service due to down wire from a fallen tree. Crews are working to have this circuit repaired in the next hour.

As of 11:30 am the Danville Utilities website says there are currently 1,225 customers without power in the area.
