(Danville, Va.) – A Danville man whose body was found lying near a house on Clement Avenue died of a gunshot wound. That’s the determination of the state medical examiner in Roanoke.

The body of 55-year-old Allen Wright was found in a yard in the 200 block of Clement last Thursday. Police said at the time that Wright had been murdered and died from an apparent gunshot wound.

The homicide investigation is continuing.
