(Danville, Va.) – A man whose body was found near an apartment complex on Clement Avenue Thursday morning was murdered.

The victim is identified at 55-year-old Allan Wright of Danville.

Investigators received an emergency call just after 7:00 Thursday morning indicating that a man’s body was lying in a yard in the 200 block of Clement.

Police responded and found Wright dead of a gunshot wound.

His death is being carried as a homicide.
