Average gas prices across Virginia shot up by 18 cents this week to $4.06 a gallon, according to AAA, while the average price of gas across the county is up by 12 cents this week to $4.11.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by 19 cents this week to $3.87, while the average in Pittsylvania County is up by 17 cents this week to $3.95 a gallon. The average price in Martinsville rose by 16 cents this week to $3.96 a gallon and in Henry County the average price climbed up by 14 cents this week to $3.89 a gallon. The average price in Halifax County is up by 18 cents this week to $3.96 a gallon.
