The Danville Area Humane Society is offering a reward after five puppies were found in a box on the side of the road. The Humane Society is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for leaving five unweaned puppies in a box on the side of a street in Windsor Heights at about 10 am on Friday.

There were no witnesses and no cameras in the area. Anyone with information is asked to call 434-799-0843. A foster family has been found to care for the puppies.
