God’s Pit Crew, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families and individuals during great times of need, is partnering again with Martinsville Speedway to distribute 1,000 food boxes filled with food and everyday essentials to local residents.

The Food Box Distribution event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Martinsville Speedway (340 Speedway Road, Ridgeway, VA 24148).  Anyone wishing to take part is asked to enter from Business 220 onto Industrial Park Road, then turn right onto Clover Road and follow the signs and volunteer instructions to the distribution site.

This initiative is designed to support anyone in need who may benefit from food staples and household items.  Community members are invited to pick up one food box per family in addition to a case of drinks at this drive-through event.  A maximum of two families may be represented per vehicle, and a representative must be present from each family.

Each 25-pound food box will contain essential items to help families in need, including but not limited to canned goods, shelf-stable foods, pasta, and a Bible.  The goal is to provide immediate assistance to households in Southside Virginia and surrounding areas.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner again with Martinsville Speedway to serve families right here in our region,” shared God’s Pit Crew President Randy Johnson.  “Our prayer is that each family who comes through will not just receive supplies but also experience hope and have a burden lifted from their shoulders.”

Families in need are encouraged to drive through the designated distribution area at Martinsville Speedway during the event hours to receive their food boxes.  No pre-registration is required, and the event is open to all residents of Martinsville, Henry County, and all surrounding areas.

“Martinsville Speedway is deeply committed to serving our surrounding community,” remarked Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell.  “We’re honored to be able to welcome local neighbors to the Speedway for an event that will bless so many families.”

This distribution is scheduled to take place prior to the Speedway’s Spring NASCAR weekend, which brings thousands of racing fans from across the country and beyond to Martinsville.  The partnership between God’s Pit Crew and the Speedway highlights the community spirit and commitment to giving back during this exciting time for the region.
