A man was arrested in Henry County on Saturday on rape and abduction charges. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from a female victim reporting that she was being held against her will by her boyfriend, Tyson Stockton.

The victim advised dispatchers that she had been assaulted and that her phone had been taken from her to prevent her from contacting law enforcement. While traveling with Stockton to a family member’s residence, she was able to regain access to her phone and contacted 911.

The victim informed dispatch that the pair would be traveling to the laundromat at Leatherwood Crossing, located on A.L Philpott Hwy. Deputies were able to locate both individuals at that location and safely detained Stockton without incident.

During the investigation, the victim provided a statement detailing that she had been severely assaulted the previous night at a residence located at 500 Clearview Drive of Martinsville. She further reported that she was sexually assaulted multiple times by Stockton following the physical attack.

The victim was transported to SOVAH Health Martinsville for treatment for her injuries related to the incident. Stockton has been charged with:

• 2 Counts Domestic Assault
• 2 Counts Rape
• 2 Counts Forcible Sodomy
• Abduction
• Strangulation
