
A man was arrested in Henry County over the weekend following a shots fired incident at a local business. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 32-year-old Casey Dakota Vernon, of Bassett, following a shooting that injured one person at Sportslanes Bowling Center on Friday morning.
Vernon was taken into custody in the 500 block of Blackberry Road, where he briefly barricaded himself inside a residence before being located hiding in the attic.
Vernon has been charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm. Vernon is being held in the Henry County adult detention center under no bond.
The person that was injured in the shooting suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
