In response to Winter Storm Fern’s devastating impact across multiple states, including Northeast Mississippi, God’s Pit Crew is deploying critical relief supplies and volunteer aid to Tippah County, Mississippi, to assist families and individuals affected by the winter storm.

A team of God’s Pit Crew Immediate Response volunteers will deploy to Tippah County from January 28 through February 11, 2026, to assist with immediate needs and provide hands-on support in the wake of the storm.  Volunteers will be working to help residents begin recovery efforts following dangerous winter weather conditions.

Winter Storm Fern brought snow, ice, and bitterly cold temperatures that caused widespread damage across the region, leaving families facing unsafe living conditions and significant property damage.  Many homes sustained damage from fallen trees and heavy ice accumulation, creating an urgent need for cleanup assistance and temporary repairs.

“Winter storms can be just as devastating as any other disaster, especially for families who are left without safe shelter in freezing temperatures,” stated God’s Pit Crew President, Randy Johnson.  “Our volunteers are prepared to serve these communities with skilled help and compassion as they work to recover from this storm.”

During the deployment, volunteers will assist with damaged tree removal and roof tarping, while also offering emotional and spiritual support to individuals and families navigating the aftermath of the storm.  God’s Pit Crew is also coordinating the delivery of critical relief supplies to help meet ongoing needs in affected communities.

Volunteers interested in assisting with this deployment are encouraged to register using the Volunteer Form located within the red banner at GodsPitCrew.org.

“This response is made possible entirely through the faithful generosity of donors whose gracious support fuels our trucks and allows us to safely deploy volunteer teams and equipment to devastated communities like those in Mississippi,” Johnson added.  “For anyone who feels called to be part of this mission, we invite you to join us, whether by giving, volunteering, or praying.”

In addition to the on ground volunteer assistance, a semi-truck load of generators, bottled water, shelf stable food items, and Blessing Buckets filled with 30+ critical relief items will also be deployed to Ripley, Mississippi.

For those wishing to support God’s Pit Crew’s ongoing disaster relief efforts, donations can be made by visiting GodsPitCrew.org or calling (434) 836-4472.
