Danville Weather Situation Report for 7 am Monday:

Since Saturday, Danville received about 2.5 to 3 inches of snow and sleet. The high temperature today will be 33 degrees, however a Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect from 6 pm Monday to 12 pm on Tuesday with temperatures expected to drop into the the single digits.

The Temporary Relief & Counseling Center (TRCC) at 625 Shelton St. is operating a 24-hour warming center for any resident or visitor in need of shelter.

The Danville Police Department says there were no crashes overnight and only one crash during the storm. Danville Utilities is currently only reporting one power outage.

Public Works crews finished plowing the major streets overnight. Those roads are in good shape, but there are still some icy spots, so please use caution. Crews are now working on collector streets like Audubon Drive and Arnett Boulevard and will move into residential neighborhoods later this morning.

  Closures and cancellations

    • The Municipal Building and all other city government buildings (closed to the public).
    • The Charles H. Harris Financial Service Center (closed to the public).
    • Danville Social Services (closed to the public).
    • The James F. Ingram Justice Center (courthouse) and the Danville Commonwealth’s Attorney office.
    • Danville Transit is not operating today. A decision on Tuesday service will be announced by 4 p.m. Monday.
    • The Ruby B. Archie Public Library (closed to the public).
    • Parks and Recreation programs canceled.
    • Danville Visitor Center (closed to the public).
    • Danville Regional Airport.
