The man charged for a homicide at a Danville gas station has been sentenced to 33 years in prison. Jaelynn Lowen was sentenced after pleading guilty to second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the shooting death of Pinakin Patel.

Lowen shot and killed Patel after an altercation over an alleged theft at the Airport Mart Exxon in April 2025. Patel was the owner of the store.

Lowen was arrested in Louisiana a few days after the shooting. He received a sentence of 43 years with 10 suspended.
