
An accomplished Danville born author died last week. Jerry Bledsoe died at 84 on New Year’s Eve in Asheboro, North Carolina.
Bledsoe was born in Danville in 1941. He was a journalist for over 20 years including writing for newspapers in Greensboro and Charlotte.
Bledsoe went on to become an author and wrote 21 books including “Bitter Blood” which reached number 1 on the New York Times Bestseller List and was made into a TV movie.
