One person was injured during a house fire in Danville on Monday. According to the Danville Fire Department, at 12:04 pm units responded to a reported structure fire at 145 Mimosa St.

Upon arrival units found heavy smoke coming from the single story residence. The two occupants of the home had exited the home prior to units arriving on scene.

An attack line was deployed to extinguish the fire while crews performed a search to ensure no other occupants were still inside. One subject was transported by Danville Life Saving Crew for burns they received.

The fire was contained to a small area in the home and the rest of the home incurred smoke damage. Units were on scene for about an hour and half and the occupants are being assisted by the Red Cross.
