
(Danville, VA) – The Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) is celebrating 100 new graduates of their latest cohort. Spread across two ceremonies (12/12 and 12/19) these individuals will be recognized for their completion intensive training in fields like CNC machining, metrology, and additive manufacturing.
Each of the individuals will have completed at least 600 hours of hands-on instruction through which they have gained the technical expertise to perform high-precision processes essential to national defense, preparing them for immediate employment within the maritime industrial base.
So far ATDM has 1,100 individuals who have completed programs at an 85% completeion rate and of that group an 85% rate of employment within 30 days. With a goal of training 1,000 students annually, ATDM remains a cornerstone initiative in strengthening the U.S. defense manufacturing workforce.
