A local group has announced that Mellow Mushroom is coming to Danville. Jonathan Walker, Meredith Walker, and Richard Barrick announced today that they have purchased the former Checkered Pig location at 155 Crown Drive and will open the pizza chain at the location.

The group, that also owns River District Social, says they will do a full top-to-bottom remodel of the location. The location will also have a significant expansion.

Mellow Mushroom has over 160 locations across the United States including restaurants in Greensboro, Lynchburg, and Roanoke.
