The City of Danville and its contractor, Classic City Mechanical, have started work on a water main along Memorial Drive. The project is expected to take approximately five to seven days to complete, weather permitting.

During this time, traffic detours will be in place:

• Eastbound Memorial Drive will be detoured at Bishop Avenue to West Main Street and back down Park Avenue.
• Southbound traffic coming across the Robertson Bridge will be restricted to right-turn only, directing drivers onto Bishop Avenue.

Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow posted signs, and use caution in the area.
