Danville City Council approved changing a polling location in the city last night. City Staff asked City Council to adopt a resolution and approve an ordinance that would approve the relocation of the polling place for election ward 7 from the Salvation Army building to the Adult Education Center at the Woodrow Wilson campus at 1005 North Main Street.
The current polling place for election ward 7 is the Salvation Army building located at 123 Henry Street. The Salvation Army has provided written notice to the City of its inability to continue serving as a polling place beginning in 2026. The City’s General Registrar and Electoral Board have identified the Adult Education Center at Woodrow Wilson campus located at 1005 North Main Street as a suitable new location.
Danville City Council unanimously approved the change.
