Registration opened Tuesday, Nov. 4, for the Danville Police Department’s biggest giveaway of the year.

Santa’s Blue Elves annually reaches hundreds of children who otherwise would not have any presents at all to open on Christmas morning. This year’s giveaway will be held on Friday, Dec. 19.

Sign up by contacting Cpl. Sylvia Brooks at 434-797-8898 ext. 2. Please note, children are not registered until a parent or guardian has spoken with Cpl. Brooks and confirmed their information. Additionally, registered children must be present to select gifts on December 19.

Donations are now being accepted at 1 Community Way during regular business hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday for Santa’s Blue Elves.
