Average gas prices across Virginia are back up by four cents this week compared to last week to $2.9 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by two cents to $3.03 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by a penny to $2.73, while the average price in Pittsylvania County climbed by three cents to $2.83 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price jumped by eight cents this week to $2.88 a gallon and in Henry County the average price remained the same this week at $2.78. Prices in Halifax County are up by one cent this week at $2.87 a gallon.
