A man was arrested in Rockingham County after a report of possible abduction by force. Deputies contacted the reporting person who advised that she believed her friend to be involved in a domestic situation and was being held against her will at an address on Ellis Rd. in Mayodan.

Deputies and officers from Mayodan Police Department went to the address on Ellis Rd where they contacted a white male who identified himself as Michael Serdar. Based on the information given initially Michael Serdar was immediately detained.

Deputies then contacted a white female inside the residence who had signs of assault. The female stated that Michael Serdar had previously picked her up from another location making threats to her and her family if she did not do as he said. 

The female also advised that her injuries were the result of Michael Serdar assaulting her, and that he had pointed a firearm at her several times threatening her life.

40-year-old Michael Warren Serdar was arrested and transported to the Rockingham County Magistrates Office where he was given NO BOND. Serdar was charged with: Felony First Degree Kidnapping, Felony Possession of Firearm by Felon, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Communicating Threats, Misdemeanor Crime of Domestic Violence, and three counts of Assault by Pointing a Gun. 

Serdar was also served with 2 outstanding warrants out of Stokes County for Simple Assault and Communicating Threats. Serdar is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on November 10.
