Earlier this week a Danville man pleaded guilty to a 2024 homicide. 33-year-old Richard Wilson Jr. pleaded guilty to charges of second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling.

The homicide occurred on June 18, 2024. Danville Police responded to the Woodside Village apartment complex at 10:49 p.m. and found 24-year-old Tasean Delvecchio Farmer, shot multiple times inside an apartment. He was transported from the scene and pronounced dead at SOVAH Health.

Wilson, Jr. was taken into custody in North Carolina after fleeing the scene. Wilson is set to be sentenced in December.
