
One person was killed during a crash in Pittsylvania County on Friday. Virginia State Police is investigating the single vehicle crash that occurred on Friday at 11:01 pm on Route 29, just north of Route 1032 in Pittsylvania County.
A 2015 Chevrolet was traveling north on Route 29, when the vehicle crossed the median and crashed into the southbound travel lanes.
The driver was identified as Bryson Everett Miller, 42, of Java. Miller was not wearing his seatbelt and was transported to Blairs Fire and Rescue Helipad where he died prior to the helicopter’s arrival.
The crash remains under investigation.
