Average gas prices across Virginia fell by a nickel this week compared to last week to $2.93 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is also down by a nickel to $3.13 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville remained the same at $2.80, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by two cents this week to $2.86 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by two cents for the second week in a row to $2.74 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is also down by two cents this week at $2.82. Prices in Halifax County fell by eight cents this week to $2.87 a gallon.
