
Two people have been arrested and two more are still wanted following a shooting in Eden. On Sunday September 21, at 8:31 pm, officers with the Eden Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of Summit Loop in reference to a shooting.
Officers arrived on scene and located a residence and a vehicle that were struck by bullets. After an extensive investigation, the Eden Police Department has charged the following individuals in connection with the shooting.
Darren O’reilly Averett of Danville VA:
• Discharge a Weapon into an Occupied Property (Felony)
Jazmyne Lacy Mcghee of Reidsville NC:
• Conspiracy (Felony)
• Child Abuse (Misd)
Drake O. Averett of Danville VA (Wanted):
• Discharge a Weapon into an Occupied Property (Felony)
• Discharge a Firearm in the City (Misd)
Jacorey Jamont Hairtson of Danville VA (Wanted):
• Discharge a Weapon into an Occupied Property (Felony)
• Discharge a Firearm in the City (Misd)
Jazmyne Mcghee was given a $5,000 secured bond and is to appear in Wentworth District Court on October 28. Darren Averett is currently being held in Virginia awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.

Jacorey Hairston and Drake Averett are still at large This is an active investigation, and this is all the information that will be released at this time.
