Authorities in Rockingham County are currently looking for an armed suspect that reportedly committed a carjacking in Danville on Thursday. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office along with the Reidsville Police Department, Eden Police Department, NC Highway Patrol and the NC SBI are currently conducting a search for a possible armed suspect in the area of North Scales Street and Highway 14 near Walmart in Reidsville.

The suspect is identified as Nimajae Logan, 26, 5’11” 165lbs. He is wearing dark pants, white sweatshirt and carrying a white backpack.

The Danville Police Department had issued a request earlier today to be on the lookout for a suspect who had carjacked an elderly female in Danville. During the incident the suspect pepper sprayed the victim and then fled in her vehicle.

A short time later a Deputy with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s office encountered the suspect vehicle on Highway 14 and attempted to stop the vehicle. The suspect entered the Walmart parking lot where he jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot.

Logan is considered armed and dangerous. He also has multiple outstanding felony warrants from Danville, Wake County, NC and Georgia. Anyone who sees Logan is asked to call to 911.
