Average gas prices across Virginia are up by two cents this week to $3.02 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by a penny to $3.19 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by two pennies this week to $2.84, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by one cent this week to $2.91 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is up by two pennies this week to $2.79 a gallon and in Henry County the average price climbed by five cents this week to $2.88. Prices in Halifax County are also up by a nickel to $3.05 a gallon.
