Average gas prices across Virginia are down by six cents this week to $3.00 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country increased by two cents to $3.18 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville fell by six cents this week to $2.82, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by three cents this week to $2.92 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price is down by two pennies this week to $2.77 a gallon and in Henry County the average price dropped by eight cents this week to $2.83. Prices in Halifax County are down by a dime this week to $3.00 a gallon.
