Halifax County Schools have announced they will start Thursday under a soft lockdown. Due to a potential threat in the area, schools implement a soft lockdown as students arrive this morning.

Halifax County Schools say that all safety protocols will be followed. As a precaution, students and staff will remain inside the building while authorities investigate.
